This past October, the Pride Festival brought together families, friends, and community members from all walks of life for an evening filled with celebration, education, and connection. Set under the vibrant evening sky, the festival featured a bustling array of vendors who provided unique swag and shared information about the invaluable services and resources available to the LGBTQIA+ community. Attendees enjoyed the inclusive atmosphere, which fostered a sense of unity and support while providing a unique opportunity for both individuals and families to learn more about the organizations and services that champion LGBTQIA+ rights and wellness. The evening timing made the event more accessible, contributing to an impressive turnout and creating an atmosphere of joy and community spirit.
In partnership with the Department of Health, we were pleased to offer free STD and hepatitis testing, as well as flu and monkeypox vaccines, prioritizing the health and safety of our community. Our team also provided free naloxone, a life-saving overdose reversal medication, as part of our commitment to harm reduction and substance use awareness. This year’s Pride Festival underscored the power of community collaboration and support in promoting a healthier, more informed, and resilient LGBTQIA+ community, with our combined efforts contributing to an event that was as impactful as it was festive.
